As a proud resident of York, I always seek family-friendly accommodations that not only provide comfort but also embrace the charm of our historical surroundings. What I appreciate most in a hotel are modern amenities such as kettle and drinks-making facilities, secure parking, and a serene environment for my children to enjoy. During my recent weekend away, I found myself enchanted by an old mansion house perfectly tailored to my family's needs. Our double room, which opened onto a stunning garden with a spacious balcony, provided a peaceful retreat. The tranquility of the area, secured behind well-locked gates, ensured a safe atmosphere for my little ones to explore. Although the continental breakfast was modest, it was adequate enough to start the day. I must say, the proximity to a good family restaurant next door was a wonderful bonus. I left with fond memories and a desire to return to such a charming getaway.
